It was announced today in New Delhi that Ratan Tata, Chairman Emeritus of Tata Sons, has been nominated to serve as a Trustee of the Prime Minister’s Charitable Assistance and Relief Efforts Fund, it was announced today in New Delhi.
A press release says that Ratan Tata and some other well-known people, such as KT Thomas, a former judge of the Supreme Court, and Kariya Munda, a former deputy speaker of the Lok Sabha, have been chosen to be trustees of the PM CARES Fund.
On Tuesday, there was a meeting of the Board of Trustees for the PM CARES Fund, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi presided as the meeting’s chairperson.
The Prime Minister extended his gratitude to the Trustees for taking on such an important role in the PM CARES Fund.
He said that the engagement of new Trustees and Advisors would give the PM CARES Fund wider viewpoints on how the fund operates. Their many years of public service would give the effort to make the fund more responsive to the many needs of the people more strength.
According to the statement, a presentation was given on the several projects carried out with the assistance of the PM CARES Fund. One of these projects is the PM CARES for Children scheme, which services 4345 children.
